Amazing bronze for Michael Balzana and Filippo Battistoni at the Grand Prix in Turin

A great performance, that of Michael Balzana: the Umbrian athlete was able to handle the competition and to impose his techniques against the opponents, with five matches won before a few seconds before the end; Micheal was defeated just one time by the Neapolitan athlete Di Capua, who finished in second place of the ranking after the Turin athlete Satin. The bronze medial won by Filippo Battistoni raises the association of Spello in third position in the national ranking, consolidating its position. Binucci Alessandro reached the 7th place, who won three matches out of five; a good 13th place for Michele Damiani, who won two matches out of three. Thanks to this result, Alessandro achieved the 4th place in the national ranking , a great result. Now all are waiting for the final of the Italian absolutes Championship scheduled on Saturday, December 12th in Turin and for the debut of Matteo Murasecco in the national context on Saturday, December 5th in Ostia during the finals of the Italian newcomers . A great performance also for the young athletes of the association of Spello that, at the 6th edition of the Trophy "The Poets of Judo",held Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th have collected a lot of medals: gold for JorgeMosquera Ruiz, Benedetta Baroni and Claudia Napoletano, silver for Gloria Giacomucci and Carlo Kallcishta and bronze for Alessio Cecera. It is to mention, also, the performance of Tiziano Meniconi, Eduard Brahas, GiacomoBenedetti, Fabio Napolitano,Luca Giulietti, Patryk Stojecki, Edward Gigliotti, Troffa Carolina, Agnese Ciccotti, Matteo Pambianco, Samuele Bagaglia, Michele Sciabola and Flavio Cimarelli.

An important bronze for Filippo Battistoni at the Grand Prix of Monterotondo

The podium conquered Sunday, October 25th in the last competition of the grand prix, strengthens the position of the giant of Spello at the top of the rankings: with two matches won before the end-time and a defeat for sanctions against the more times medalist Fabio Dell'Anna, the athlete of Spello proves to be healthy and ready for the absolutes final. Fifth in the national ranking, the samurai of Spello is already qualified by right for the finals of the Absolute Championships in Turin on 12 December, a comforting result that bodes well for the future. Also his teammate Alessandro Binucci, who returns in the competitive scene after an enforced break due to health problems, earns its place at the finals in Turin. The athlete won the seventh place in the qualifying tournament of Monterotondo, and after five fights he concludes the circuit of international competitions, conquering the eighth place in the national ranking and becoming one of the best athletes in Italy. Nothing to do for Michael Balzana, Giacomo Fiorucci, Michele Damiani, Luca Giulietti, Patryk Stojecki and Benedetta Baroni.

Sunday, April 25 three young athletes of the Kodokan Spello fought at the Tournament of Senigallia looking for a confirm of the preparatory work done so far with the technicians of the club. A positive race that showed the huge improvements of the athletes. A beautiful gold for Gloria, who in the category of the 57 kg wins thanks to two great ippons. Bronze instead for Carlo, the youngest athlete of the team, who won two matches, while Fabio Napoletano, cousin of the excellent athlete of Spello Massimo Mancini, gets only the fifth place for an arbitration oversight.

A weekend full of commitments and full of successes for the club of Spello

At the third and final stage of the Italian Cup which took place in Perugia Saturday, October 17, three athletes of the Kodokan Spello get on the podium. The race ends with a sixth place for the club in the final ranking. Silver for Jordy Suarez, with three victories in four matches fought, and two bronzes for the expert and titled wrestlers Edoardo Paccamonti and Jorge Armando Mosquera, a positive result that bodes well for the next absolute championships that will held in Turin in December. See the Photos!While the wrestlers were sweating on the parterre of Perugia, their judoka teammates experienced an interesting and exciting training session with the internationally renowned coach Davide Carli of Rimini who, assisted by the equally known professional Gabriele Fabbri, will handle the preparation of the agonists of Spello: an important collaboration that will prepare the samurais of Spello to face the next fights. For them the most important event will be the Italian Absolute Championship that will be hosted in Turin in December.

The youth team is second in the final ranking for clubs at the Tournament of Deruta

The first competion fought by the young samurais of Spello at the Tournament for the fiftieth anniversary of the company founded by Giuseppe Guiducci, was an amazing success. Six athletes in the race who, led by coach Giulio Famà, won a total of six medals, two of which were won by the amazing Marco Stocchi who competed in both the 40 and in the 45 kg category, showing courage and determination: gold, then, for Stocchi, Tiziano Meniconi, Alessio Cecera and Matteo Murasecco, while "only" bronze for Riccardo Tartaglini. Bad day, however, for Luca Gasparrini, who has shown he has all it takes to emerge, but he still suffers the tension of competition. Good performance of the boys of technician Roberto Diotallevi and Massimiliano Pambianco who fought with tranquility and security: Michele Sciabola, Flavio Cimarelli, Gabriele Diotallevi, Ettore Scarponi and Alessandro Masciotti all conquered a place on the podium.

It was held on Tuesday, June 23rd, in the familiar setting, cheerful and full of "colors" of the Sports Hall of Spello, the annual closure of courses dedicated to the delivery of diplomas and belts to the upper grade. A year of sport, that of 2014/2015, full of satisfactions for the association of Spello from the point of view of the results obtained in the competitions but also from the promotional point of view that, thanks to the initiative of the project judo at school which took place at the primary school of Santa Caterina in Foligno and in the Elementary School of Spello, has seen a massive presence on the Tatami of a lot mini-judokas. During the belt promotion parents, family and friends haven’t missed the opportunity to see these little samurais at work, who showed great skills in repeating the techniques learned in the course.
